Hiro Kurosaki, violin

 

 Hiro Kurosaki, born in Tokyo, at the age of six he moved to Vienna, where he completed his studies in music, architecture and art history.

He has been awarded the “Wieniawsky” prize in Poland and the “Kreisler” prize in Vienna.

He has performed as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London; the Staatskapelle, Dresden; the Wiener Symphoniker and the Mozarteum Orchester, Salzburg.

For some years he has specialised in historical interpretation, having performed and recorded as first violin with Les Arts Florissants, Clemencic Consort, London Baroque and Capella Conoliensis. He founded the group “Les Quatre Violons”.

He is often invited on tours and to festivals in Europe, Japan, the United States and Australia.

He teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Higher Conservatory of Atocha in Madrid.
